The latest changes to building regulations have put extra pressure on developers with increased targets for thermal fabric, air tightness and some additional requirements that will take some getting used to. One of the new measures is Appendix B, the requirement to photograph a list of thermal junctions, not only that, each photograph must be time, date and geo-tagged, these must be approved by your energy assessor and building control prior to production of the EPC.
As we are still in the early days of the regulations it will probably take a while to get a handle on which photographs are required and what they should look like, here at Site Photo we provide a list of junctions you will be required to photograph depending on the construction method you are using. For example timber construction will require different junction photographs from brick and block, for more information and a list of points to photograph please click here, follow the options to the type of construction method you are using and print off the Appendix B Evidence sheet for use on your project.
